Solutions Specific to Your Business
ThreeWill can build a custom solution using Office and SharePoint that meets the specific needs of your business.  This is definitely an area where the new version of Office and SharePoint shine.  And customizing Office and SharePoint is not just confined to developers.  There are a tremendous number of things that you can do from the web based user interface out of the box that get you up and running quickly.  ThreeWill can help take your applications to the next level by building sophisticated applications that extend what is built into Office and SharePoint.

One Platform for your Entire Organization

You now can use the same platform across your entire organization – one extendable platform to build Corporate Presence, Extranets, and Intranet site.  This is primarily due to the fact that SharePoint uses many of the features of ASP.NET 2.0 – user interface features like Master Pages and Web Parts, and security features like Authentication Providers.

Powerful Options for Building Complex Applications

SharePoint is a true developer's platform for building solutions.  You name it, ASP.NET 2.0 (including Master Pages and the Web Part Framework), access to the .NET 2.0 framework libraries, an extensive SharePoint API as well as a Web Services interface provide us with many options for building great custom solutions for your business.

Branding and Customizing Look and Feel

Many businesses, large or small, want to be able to customize the look and feel of any web site in their organization.  You can use SharePoint Designer to modify a single page or an entire web site.  SharePoint Designer is the latest version of FrontPage.  You can use it to give a custom look and feel to a site, and it is integrated very well with SharePoint.  In addition to SharePoint Designer, users can add functionality to the site directly through the user interface provided by SharePoint.  Users can add web pages, change the site elements and even add user interface elements called Web Parts.  Web Parts provide the ability to view data within the SharePoint interface.

Integrated Workflow

SharePoint provides organizations with a way to define and manage their business processes.  With these business processes in place, SharePoint provides the bridge between desktop applications and centralized services.  Ad-hoc and defined workflows are a key part of a managing business processes.  Integration with Windows Workflow allows you to build custom workflows that address how work is done in your business.  You can package up workflows to use and reuse across your organization.

Many Options for Extending Office and SharePoint

ThreeWill can use a Web Services interface to work with SharePoint.  Web services provide a way for developers to work with SharePoint from remote machines that do not have direct access to the SharePoint Server, but can connect to the Internet or Intranet.  One of the main parts of SharePoint is the use of lists and data.  One tool that uses SharePoint Web Services is Microsoft Office.  SharePoint Web Services also provide a way for applications to communicate with the SharePoint Server even if the communication must cross a firewall boundary.  SharePoint Web Services use standard protocols such as XML, HTTP, and SOAP to send and receive the messages that are sent from the client to the server.
